You just called an Austrian Germanic! That's like calling an American a Brit or the other way round.

Heck - I am Germanic from my Norwegian heritage. Germanic countries include:
- Austria - Belgium (except the French parts) - Denmark - Germany - United Kingdom - Netherlands - Norway - Sweden
"The term has been used to refer to ethnic groups who speak a Germanic language and have ancestral and cultural connections to the group in ancient times,"
You can blame my Latin background. Latin language. I have no racial Latino background.
I'm Germanic through my grandparents, who were from a village in Transylvania that had a Saxon history of almost 1000 years. It's now Romania but was Hungary for a long time.
I particularly like the reaction of a woman when I tell her that while admiring her neck.
The man who gives his woman everything ends up with nothing. Not even the woman.

I don't know which village in that region my ancestors came from, but I'm "part vampire" too. (didn't find a vampire, but I did find this friendly fellow)

I'm running a girls club with two other moms. We were discussing having an end of year program and one of them suggested having the girls sing songs from The Sound of Music.
Anyway, I'm not saying I have a lot of dirndls or anything, I'm just saying after bringing in everything I have, all the girls are now outfitted for the performance and we were only short two aprons (which I made pretty quickly of fabric I had at home.)

I recently came across a bunch of old Burda sewing magazines ... I now have sewing patterns for dirndls.

See, I told you its Heaven.
How will you live well today?
That's the kind of stuff you typically see vomiting tourists wearing...
The Bavarians look a lot more like this:
ETA: C'mon, its a Hafbrauhaus keg, its gotta be legit....

And @Joanna, that's a pretty dress!

This is me in a dirndl. I must have been two at that time.
And that's the one of my three dirndls I like best:
