I'm starting to really believe my wife is an emotional train wreck and she needs to get some kind of medication. She is all over the place these last few weeks. How can I suggest she get evaluated without being insulting?  How can I ensure she get tested for any chemical imbalances?

When she had her stroke in 2010, she got prescribed Topomax to combat the seizures she started having. That medicine put her in the best of moods on a daily basis.  No arguments. No emotional outbursts.  No mood swings.  She was always in a good mood.  The only drawback was the side effects were too intense for her to deal with.  Hallucinations and paranoid delusions were the worst.  So she had to come off of it.  Everyone in the house was sad to see the Topomax go!  Hated the side effects but loved the relaxed demeanor.

Cialis doesn't work for me, either.  At all.  But I nibble the corner off a 100mg Viagra and I'm good for 2 rounds.

I have been getting good results with L-Lysine, the amino acid that is metabolized to produce NO (the signal chemical for erections). I have a Cialis prescription and use it as needed, but I'm getting morning wood with just 3 grams of L-Lysine, and it is a lot cheaper than Cialis!

@dalef‌ 3g l-lysine all in one dose, once per day, everyday? or only right before sex?

I read about it in "The Hardness Factor", 3 1 gram pills each day. The book had a lot of other advice as well.

    A couple of updates:

After the marraige seminar fiasco, we have slowly been getting back on track. Last night, we had sex for the first time since last week. It was a bit awkward. She had a little buzz from our new fave drink, Viniq. She was highly erotic but talking the whole time about her 3-some fantasy. From time to time she'll pull that out and really get freaky with me. Last night she was all into it, talking dirty and telling me her fantasy thoughts. She even pulled up some 3-some porn on her iPad to add to the intensity of it all. What was awkward is that she got too immersed in it. She started giving all these instructions and telling me not to do this and not to do that, because I should "save all that for HER". I got aggressive and began to pound away while she was on top. She dried up after a couple of minutes. I asked why, but I already knew. She allowed her mind to go so deep into the fantasy that she imagined that I was pounding away on the fantasy girl, and she got jealous. At the same time, it got her more excited and she got back into the groove and ended up having about 3 humongous O's in a row.

I don't mind the fantasy talk. I don't really believe she wants to have a 3-some. It is just something that brings spark to the bedroom. I don't like it when she dives too far into it though. It messes with our chemistry. I get super excited from her talking dirty and being very sluttish. I get more into it, but she'll say I give her better sex at the thought of being with another woman. It has nothing to to with another woman, it is because of how totally sexy and sexual she gets.  I also noticed that she is more willing to sleep with me when she has had a drink, than when she hasn't. The drinking thing is new. Well, in the last 6 years or so. Before, we didn't drink. But we stopped being so stuffy and restricting and decided to have the occassional glass of wine or cocktail. But since then, it seems like the only things that get her extremely horny is the fantasy talk or if she has loosened up with some alcohol first. I don't know what to make of it. I like it because we have much more satisfying sex that way. I don't like it because I'm wondering why she needs to get tipsy in order to sleep with me. She says its not like that. I just don't know.

We will start our marriage counseling next week. I am looking forward to it so we can start working on communication and trust. I am not sure how this first session will go. We both want to work on it, but I don't think she is ready to open up and expose any nerves.

Running the MAP has yielded some results too. She has been noticing how I keep dressing nicely and keeping my appearance up. Yesterday, she looked at me after I came home from work. I had on a nice blazer and shirt and some new shoes. My face was shaved and hair freshly cut. I came in standing up extra straight and tall. She was like "why are you going to work looking all good?". I just chuckled. All hail the MAP.
