We got any Endocrinologists on here yet?

Well crap there doesn't seem to be any easy answers for some of the things that have been bothering me the last few years I might as well see if anybody else can relate. You'd think low T but that doesn't seem to be the case. My latest was 660 and 10.1.   Warning some of this sounds really arrogant but I'm trying to move the Doc into action. Any Ideas?

Here are some of the things I sent the DR.

I’ve been having several problems for almost three years and they slowly seem to get worse.

I have erectile dysfunction. Various types and degrees. I’ve had times where 100mg of Viagra had zero effect probably cause I wasn’t turned on. I have been told my erection issues are most likely performance anxiety but it happens even if I’m by myself.

I have developed premature ejaculation. This was never an issue from the ages of 16-41

I have virtually no libido. I had pretty much sex or orgasm once a day from 16-41. Now I can go a month without sex or masturbation and really not be that antsy even in the fourth week.

My hair started thinning in July. My whole life Stylists have had to actually thin my hair when I go in. Now I find it on my pillow.

I’m always cold or get cold easy. Constantly turning off AC in friends cars  getting on my children about not wearing coats. Example last week the heat was at 65 in the house. I had on boxers, sweat pants, socks, slippers, tshirt, long sleeve pajama shirt, fleece zip up jacket, thermal fleece toboggan, a fleece throw and a laptop on me for hours and I was perfectly comfortable for hours. My nose and ears feel cold a lot.

I get tired easy. If I go shopping for 4 hours I’ll come home wore out in the afternoon and want a nap very often.

I’m having a hard time getting into shape. This has never been an issue before. I’m weaker than ever before in my life past the age of 15 despite working out harder than I have in the last 20 yrs.

I have little interest in other women. I’m not aggressive at all anymore. If I saw an attractive woman I had to have her I had to meet her and would go to great lengths to. Now I’ve had very attractive women show and flat out offer sex and I seem just as excited to go to Mcdonald’s than to be bothered just driving to their house. This is not normal for me!!!!

I’m having a hard time getting turned on or excited. I don’t mean erection. I mean that excited feeling prior to or during foreplay. Again this happens even if alone. I quit looking at porn over a year ago and might only use it for stimulation once a month or every 60 days. I might as well be watching Thomas The Tank Engine.

On my libido/excitement I can have sex probably once or twice a week but I force myself to do it. I’d describe it as not having much appetite and thinking towards the end of the day, I really should eat something not my god I’m ravished. Again not normal for me.

I need help. This has cost me two relationships since it happened. I’ve been told by friends that I seem less enthusiastic about everything. I’m definitely less social.

The VA keeps telling me it’s all mental probably but a person knows when something is off.

I was a college football player. At 5’11” I played at 220 with 15% body fat. I ran a 4.6 second 40. I bench pressed 400lbs and could dunk a volleyball. I could have sex 16 times in 24 hours. I was highly attracted to women. Heck I wouldn’t even lose my erection post orgasm. These are not normal numbers for any man 18-28. They are elite  I believe these attributes mean I’m a high testosterone individual. My normal could easily be 900 and at 400-500 I’m running on half. This is what it feels like to me.

The last time I was somewhat normal my T was at 640+ but even then I was having some issues. That was 4 years ago.

Commonly you'll read advice to keep your E2 between 20-30 pg/mL, which equates to 2.0-3.0 ng/dL. (See why knowing the units and test ranges is important?). Your 2.4 is just fine.

See they keep saying everything looks perfectly normal. But I don't feel normal. Could it be a neurotransmitter issue? I have no idea.

I spent 2.5 hrs tracking down the head of Endo for my local VA's office and dropped some papers with her secretary. Hopefully she will look at me.

Are there any thyroid numbers in that mass of hieroglyphics? I don't see any in that list, but the good news is it probably will be a lot easier to get tested and treated and the VA docs will be a lot more knowledgeable about thyroid treatment than testosterone. At least it won't be quite so much like pushing rope uphill, you won't hear "well we won't treat it until you're doubled over like an old man" like you do with trying to educate doctors about T treatment.

I don't think all my labs got posted to my account for some reason. I'll have to get a hard copy. They always say the same thing you look perfectly healthy. My VA doctors are all Duke University doctors. VA hospital is across the street from Duke Hospital.

My BIL was just there a few weeks ago. Excellent hospital. So they did do thyroid tests and they weren't printed for you, or they didnt do them?

They most likely did. In theory we all have a profile like here on MMSL or online banking where all our upcoming apts, test results, pretty much everything is supposed to go. Looking at it it seems that a lot didn't get posted. They took 4 vials and urine.

I don't know why they are drug testing me. They know I don't even drink.

They have tested prolactin and tsh t4 etc in the past and they said you look like the bill of health. BP is almost always 118/70.

Not an endo... It's a reach but.. You mentioned hair thinning... You're not taking propecia are you?? I've heard similar stories with propecia?
Been an uphill battle, both ways, in three feet of snow, with newspapers for shoes, but I'm a better man for it!

@Mr_Brown ; No my hair has always been very thick. Now it's limp and feels like each strand itself is thinner. I've been waking up with hair on my pillow. No bald spots. Not really receding.

Just thin and limp and dandruff has exploded. These two events just started in the summer. Everything else 2.5yrs ago. I'll try to find a way to post my body comp results.

Are you careful with exposure to pesticides and herbicides and fertilizers? The hair loss was what made me think of thyroid, but I wonder if you don't have some kind of chemical exposure issue going on.

What's the rest of your environment like? Diet? No drinking or drugs sounds like someone who eats clean, is that true?

I eat semi clean but not really any different than my whole life. I rarely do any spraying for work and this issue has lasted over the span of four housing locations

    Hemo is low.
Find out exact TSH they will tell you it is normal up to 5, but under 2 is ideal.
