Is initiating sex a DLV?

Is playfully seducing DH and suggesting sex is on the menu later that night a DLV when you have a low drive (probably low T) husband?
I have tried to go as long as possible without initiating sex and I only made it a few weeks before I had a meltdown and insisted we have sex.
Is it better to play dead? Or ask for what I want? What do you think?
