HildaCornersWinter? You call *that* winter?Gold WomenPosts: 3,377
I may be unusual, but I don't think there's a requirement for couples to be constantly available to each other.
When my former husbands left for work, I rarely talked/emailed/texted/sent carrier pigeons* while they were working. They needed to concentrate on work, and I had my own things to focus on. They all knew that if Hilda called, it was *important*, since it happened so rarely.
To me, a lack of communication for an entire work day is not an issue. 24 hours or more ... maybe. Depends on how close you are, the level of communication in general, and if there's any special reason for more or less contact.
Too much communication, especially freaking out when it doesn't happen, is a sign of orbiting. Not cool.
* My first marriage was in the days when professionals had secretaries to field their phone calls. Husband #1 had a secretary, she barely knew me.
Enneagram 5w4. I'm researching what that means, before designing t-shirt art about it.
"I feel no shame in making lavish use of the strongest muscles, namely male ones (but my own strongest muscle is dedicated to the service of men - noblesse oblige). I don't begrudge men one whit of their natural advantages as long as they respect mine. I am not an unhappy pseudomale; I am female and like it that way." RAH
Just keep at it and being inspiring. When you take her places maybe she has never gone sexually she will be inspired to offer something more back. Especially with strong and independent women, it never sits well that they aren't giving back as much.

I see no reason to be in constant contact with someone I don't even live with. Or do live with for that matter.
