ok, I dont think this has been covered in this thread.
This is a beautiful thread and all, but if you really want to show your appreciation for getting ANYTHING from this forum and the Kays, dig deep this holiday season and buy a product.
They cost as little as 3 lattés from the local coffee shop, and how many coffees would you be willing to buy if you knew that they would improve you, your life, and your marriage? Hell, buy a copy and hand one to a stranger at a coffee shop and start a conversation.
The forum is closing so that they can grow, be a part of that growth. It is time to give back.
As of this point on, with anonimity of the forum being a mute point, gift some books to neighbors, family and friends so that Athol can get himself a La-Z-Boy. For the love of God, he deserves a frickin La-Z-Boy right?! Eatin some Kale S'mores in a La-Z-boy on New Year's Eve.
So, everytime you feel overwhelmed, gift a book to someone.
masturbate to porn? Nope, I'm gonna drop a copy of MMSL to the postal worker instead.
hey, wanna get drunk? Huh uh, I am going to get drunk by buying and sending the Primer to my dad!
Oh, lord. Hmmmm, thought I was divorced a couple times, but who really knows anything, right? I will wait for Athol's book,"How to get a divorce in under 3 freaking years"
You missed me? Awwww. I lurk, but I have been out doing the stuff.
@Jek - I've bought the Primer for two people. One really could become awesome. Neither have cracked it in over a year and roll their eyes at me when I talk about the concepts.
You have to want it . . . That being said, I still buy the products. I have one more recipient in mind. It would come out though. My wife knows I've thought of giving him the book. If he alphad up, they'd know the books came from me!!!!
i pointed a lot of guys from the Nerd Fitness men's group to Athols books and websites. Mostly on deaf ears. Blue pill is STRONG. Also, seem to be a lot of gays on the NF Men's group. They aren't interested in married game.
Im just saying, buy the books (I like to listen to the videos while mowing or shoveling), but don't expect people to just get it. If you aren't seeking it, seems to be resistance.
This stuff still gets gets me angry 4+ years later!

There have been threads on this, and there could be many more. But, whatever, let's remember and praise and be thankful before it all goes poof. Right?
Just a quick thank you to Athol and all the mods and members who helped me out. This place saved me.
"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before." - Jacob Riis
Goodbye everyone, It has been good to know you. I learned a lot, and hope I gave some back. @Athol, I will continue to buy your books (I learned a lot, especially from MMSL).
I agree that buying the books for other people can be awkward or useless or both. That doesn't stop me from having the books myself and sharing the concepts when it seems appropriate, but it's a lot like sharing one's faith: you just have to be mindful that most people are predisposed to not get it. It's more effective to share certain basic concepts than tossing a book at someone. Then if they really want to know more, well, the resources are available.

I'm beyond an hour, so I can't delete that post.
I'm VERY grateful to Athol. His work changed everything for me. I'm 100% in agreement that we should buy his content (and I've bought all but the one book about do these pants make my butt look fat).
I ordered the the book for the other guy today.
Please delete my last post (just saying - not everyone was open to the gift of Athol in my experience - but I'm all for donating it to local libraries etc).

BEST WISHES TO ALL!! I'm gonna miss this place but I won't forget what I've learned thanks to everyone's contributions
peace. out.
I have 3 and 13 year old girls, married 20+ years to an awesome husband just past midlife crisis who's battling lowT with shots and I have major ADD. We are in a much better place these days mostly thanks to this community. Thanks all!
Reason I'm here: to better understand the general workings of the male mind and help husbands and wives by providing insight from a mostly sane female perspective.
Athol's work has lead me to find myself and ultimately end my marriage.
I lost 80 pounds. I have run a marathon poorly (4:55) and am competitive in my age bracket for half marathons (1:45). I lift multiple times per week and enjoy rock climbing my goal for 2017 is to lead climb a 5.10 with my son.
My wife will not change. She married me for security and stability. She is not attracted to me. The open marriage was so that she could have sex with someone that she was attracted to and the divorce will be so that I can.
The family court judge in our county awards full or sole custody to the mother in 99.2% of cases. Fathers rarely receive more than every other weekend and two weeks in the Summer. My youngest is in High School and I do not trust my wife to honor any visitation agreement. (My attorney agrees with all of this: "unless you get video of her burning the kids with a crack pipe") So.... soon.
I was here to see the forum grow out of the comments section on the blog. (That's where my user name comes from.) I am so much happier. I am happier with my job. I am a much better (present) father. Women half my age hit on me.
One thing Jon and I do is buy about a dozen print copies of the MAP book a year, and leave them in Doctor's and Dentist's waiting rooms when we are there. We do ask permission, and the receptionists always tells us they disappear very quickly.
You can donate them to public and church libraries too.

@Athol_Kay, thank you for the blog, the books, and all that you've done. You've given me the language to express not only what was going wrong in my life but to describe a clear path to fix it. Well done, good and faithful servant.
I've been far more of a lurker than a poster, but like so many here, Athol's books and videos and this forum have changed my life. I'll look forward buying all his new content as it comes out, and I'm glad he'll now have more time to create it. But I'll miss this forum. I've never come across any internet site with such good people, even if I did more learning by listening than by participating.
My best wishes to Athol and Jen and to all of you here.
And yes, I'm going to start buying MMSL and giving it to people. I've got several in mind.
So sad to see the forum closing. I'm so very grateful for everything I learned here and I really shudder at the mental picture of what I'd look like if I hadn't had some very hard truths explained to me on this forum. I'd still be frumpzilla and totally ignorant about what that meant to my husband. I'd be really clueless about what worked for me sexually, and so would my husband. Now he compliments my appearance (and the effort that I put into it) almost daily and is proud to have a rockin' sex life at an age where a lot of couples' sex lives are dead. I'm so grateful that my marriage is thriving. Thank you everyone for your honest and sometimes blunt advise. I needed it.

I'm still in the bad stages of grief, but I can't argue with the logic. You gotta put your own mask on first before you can go about saving anybody else. I'm just... I'm still wrapping my mind around this. I've never experienced the end of a forum. I actually squeezed out a real tear. Dis tew much, lol.
Shouts out to @Tennee, my forum brother in my head.
I haven't been around in a while, but I'd like everyone to know that I'm eternally grateful for all the kindness and support that I've found in here. I'm a completely different person than I was 4 years ago and I have you to thank for that. I'm sad to see this place go, and I wish all of you the best.

Discovering Athol's books marked a turning point for me. My marriage and life in general are much improved and still improving (excelsior -- ever upward).
Special thanks to @Serenity for the coaching. That was the best $1000+ I've ever spent.
Many thanks to both of you, and to this community.

Thank You, Athol.
I shrouded it with a bit of "lol" as to not clearly step in a pile of "I appreciate it, but none of your business".
The book may not get used, fine, but I guarantee the $20 will be.
ok, nuff on that. Moving on...
