Sex has always been a struggle between me and my wife. When we first got together we were both a little more adventurous. Nowadays, if I can get her out of the missionary position, I feel like a porn star. I told her to make suggestions to me, cause I am willing to do anything to please her and get her off. I mean if she said to wear a gorilla suit, I honestly would. I have asked her to be more adventurous, I have even suggested a few things, in which I get the eye daggers for. I have asked her to wear lingerie like she used to, but this is to no avail. But here's the real kicker! I have asked her to wear a corset for me in bed. You may think that's unreasonable...but she owns a corset shop! No shit. She has every corset imaginable at her disposal. (She wears them occasionally over her own clothing.) Her argument is that corsets are not for sexual trysts, but are serious garments. Now, I honestly don't think her customers feel this way. Now the question is, who is unreasonable? Should I be upset and hurt that she won't wear one for me?

I think she is being unreasonable. Many men find corsets sexy, and she should be willing to wear one for you in bed. It is especially odd that she won't do this as she wears them out of bed. Corsets can look really good. No.2 son's girlfriend favours a steampunk style of dress, and she wears a leather one with little metal studs on it, it looks great on her. Your wife should stop being such a killjoy. Clothes, in or out of bed, shouod be fun.

'Cause you have to learn that asking is beta.  Taking action is Alpha.  Especially in the bedroom.  Ignore her if she says "no."  Don't stop until you get some physical resistance, in which case you get up, get dressed, and demonstrate outcome independence by going "out".

You know a few months ago when I started lurking on this forum I would see men get the same piece of advice to every question. Run the MAP. Run the MAP. Run the MAP. And I thought, these people are crazy. They all only have a hammer and so every problem looks like a nail.
The thing is, they were right. The answer is to run the MAP. The answer is to make your wife attracted to you again. You can talk yourself blue in the face about how it doesn't make sense that your wife owns a corset shop but won't wear one for you in bed. And I agree that it doesnt make sense. But that isn't going to convince her if she isn't attracted to you because she just doesn't want to. Here's the thing, once you make her attracted to you you won't have to convince her at all, she will want to.

WHAAAAT?! I used to find it difficult enough to force my kids into clothes they didn't want to be in, and they was loose fitting with poppers and zips not fucking hooks eyes and laces! You'd need to be a fucking octopus to manage this!

Yeah, thinking that "forcing" someone into a corset ain't happening. My wife has worn them in the past, and yeah - it's damn hot. It also takes a few minutes of dedicated, cooperative work to get her laced in properly. If she resisted? I think I physically could not put one on her.

WTH - agreed that you're getting hit with the hamster on this one. Corsets are serious garments, or can be, but they are certainly also for sexual trysts. They specifically emphasize her tits, and depending on what's underneath permit unfettered access for sex. The only thing I had any issue with at all (and it was VERY minor) is that it's harder to play with my wife's tits - but that won't stop me from having her wear one again, at least once in a while. I'm a little envious of you, with a wife who has a corset shop. Get on it and get her to wear them.

@Alphastud:  Words cannot describe how much I hate that bow.  I'm glad you guys like it, but. . . . wow.  Custom is a good idea.  None of the size charts are very realistic for my measurements.  My waist is like 2-3 sizes smaller than my bust.  Not a bad problem to have but it does make buying online difficult.  

I've held off on buying lingerie.  Generally the clothes are gone before I make it 10 feet past the door so it feels superfluous.

I have that red one (but in white and black) and I absolutely LOVE it. I think it ran me about $60 at fredricks.  Hubs doesnt really dig it for sex, but I wear it all the time because i feel INCREDIBLY sexy in it.  Also, to anyone that's kina busty: they're WAY more supportive than strapless bras; a million times more comfortable.  Before I got my corset i never bought a single strapless dress bc i dreaded strapless bras, now that's most of what's n my closet. It also really makes clothes "hang" the way they're supoosed to cause you have a more firm structure, like a manquine. Those hoes with the straps instead of elastic holding them up are uncomfortable though: those are only for sexy time.

The nice thing about going to a stroe instead of online is that they'll ussually lace you up "right" and there really is a solid technique to doing that and making it look hottest (leaving extra space at the bottom where to go tightest at the waist etc).  And then once you're laces are done you hook and unhook in the front like a bra clasp, so although the first try is a bit of an ordeal, als long as your weight stays the same, it's pretty easy to put on and off by yourself. 

@Kathrynthegreat:  a corset would look bangin on that body type! you should definately get one!   A corset laces the entire back so it really IS custom to your body shape.  A good corset has a lace that starts at the bottom and one that starts at the top.  They meet in the middle so you can REALLY tighten or loosen based on your proportions which is especially nice ifyou're top heavy or hippy as opposed to average proportions.
