Upcoming shit test

Every year or so, my wife forgets to take her meds for a few days.  (SSRI - missing 1 day is fine, miss 4 days in a row....)

At some point, she will become really angry, to the point she will leave.

At a store 5 miles from home? No problem, she'll just walk home.

Threaten divorce on the way out, etc.

My past response has always been to follow her, get her back in the car, and then say I'm sorry for whatever it is this time.

Learning about MMSL leads me to think this is not the best response.

Better options?
  • Let her walk home, then toss her pill caddy at her, tell her to take them and to talk tomorrow when she's settled down. Proceed to ignore her.
  • Get her, then tell her she's off her meds and needs to settle down.
  • Get her, then try to engage her somehow? (Note: she's much quicker verbally than I am.)
  • While she's leaving, say, fine, I'll hire an attorney and get the paperwork, then let her leave. (More of a shock to the system idea - I'm in phase 2 or 3.)
  • Other?
Thanks for any advice.

Any way to monitor the meds so that the event doesn't come as such a surprise?  As captain you are responsible for the health of the crew, I'd imagine that this prob feels like monitoring a 3 yr old, but...

    *slaps head*

I do monitor, but she gets angry when I mention it.

Me: You forgot your pills this morning
Her: Shut up, or, I was busy

Lol - there's the shit test.

    Options -
    • Yes, but your health is important to me
    • That's nice, now take this
    • Just stare at her
