I have a letter one of my friends wrote me in middle school. It says "I have this stupid crush on Bod Ross..." Makes me lol every time I read it!

@simplegirl - are you saying that your husband looks like Matt Bomer? Damn.

But I have a hard time finding gay men attractive in a sexual way - more like a piece of fine art.

funny - my wife sometimes has gaydar in reverse ... when she was a teen, she had a crush on John Travolta (vinny barbarino), and Richard Chamberlain (shogun on T) ... later, Viggo Mortenson (LOTR) ... if she likes em, good shot they eventually come out.

See, I'd rather have Peter Burke. Neil is just a little too pretty boy for me. On the other hand, my husband gets told fairly often that he resembles Ryan Gosling :)

Buddy the Elf is also kind of interesting. He is always positive and planned a pretty good date. Not sure if I could actually hook up with him, though. I definitely have a pattern.

I don't know, I like nerdy guys. Intelligence turns me on, literally. Reading Jurassic Park (every time Ian Malcom opens his mouth) has the same effect on me that certain other books have on other women. It was weird but that's what I go for. Part of my 'courtship' with my husband was spent reading his participation in a philosophy discussion forum, and that's half of what did it for me.

Getting him to smile natural on camera is super hard and I have no idea why.

I'm not sure why either- he has really nice teeth.

My brother had a ton of action figures, but I only had one, and I kept him on the windowsill next to my bed.
Mine was GI Joe. The only boy toy that could date my Barbies.

    Han Solo

I was in the third grade when that came out.  Most of my friends were in love with Luke Skywalker.  There was maybe 1 or 2 who were precocious and liked Han Solo.  I never told anyone, but neither one did a thing for me.  Darth Vader was the one who affected me.  My brother had a ton of action figures, but I only had one, and I kept him on the windowsill next to my bed.

I'm like legally required to say something loaded with innuendo here, aren't I?

Characters I've had crushes on over the years have included William Shatner as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, Dennis Waterman as Terry McCann in Minder, John Nettles as Jim Bergerac in Bergerac, Scott Baio as Dr Jack in Diagnosis Murder, and Timothy Dalton in most things I've seen him in.

Just for sex is too empty.  I go for someone I liked and admired, with good looks a hopeful plus.  From the movies, it would be Gwyneth Paltrow, because she's great looking and from what I understand, a real family person.
