Just got both albums put out by "The Pretty Reckless". As a 80s hair band survivor and junkie I think they are awesome.

Been a long time since I dug through the Megadeth catalog, that was a mistake...
Here's one to check out for a headbanging fix

Gotta throw up the original "Cold Sweat" with one of my all time favorite guitarists (and singer, and songwriter) John Sykes:

Feeling a bit nostalgic . . . thinking of the Templar early years, hearing Glen Campbell over and over.

I was watching the Ken Burns "Roosevelt" series on Netflix, and have this song bouncing around in my head. I figured I might as well share the joy.

Old teammate of mine introduced me to Black Stone Cherry the other day. Anyone listend to them? Such a weird mix of Genres/Sounds they have... Most of their stuff is not my thing, you know since they've been around for 15 years and I've never listened to them... LOL.
Anyway, they have a few country-ish sounding jams that I don't mind. Maybe because one the band members' dad was part of the Kentucky Headhunters??

I was in the shower when this song came on. Haven't heard it in a while.

Obviously, a one-woman dance party ensued. My conditioner needed some time to soak in anyway.

If you haven't danced in the shower today, I highly recommend it. :)

Still got my string thing going on:  Punch Brothers - Rye Whiskey.  Some pretty good blue grass.  For Yankees....

Just finished prep on all the stuff I need to get a big ass pot of chili going in about an hour. Have a mix of alt-rock going and the last two songs were two of my favorites by Foals: Let's all have a great day of food, drinks, and football!

New Metallica is out, and it's really good:

This is my favorite post-Cliff Burton era album.

Wow - that is high praise.  I listened to the first four songs last night, and overall I'm liking what I hear. Certainly better than anything off Death Magnetic or St. Anger. I don't love the guitar tones so much; their classic scooped mids Mesa/Boogie sound will always be definitive "Metallica" for me. But it's a minor complaint so far.
