I sing tenor with this group. Lots of octave jumps and he sure wasn't shy about having tenors sing that high A. Some of the newer singers needed a little coaching on hitting that without sounding like a strangling cat.
It's a good long piece. Went pretty well. The audience was impressed, the wife was impressed, so it all worked!

Just listened to most of the new NIN album while working out... very pop-y but very good.

    Good workout tunes.

Catchy tune....I pray that my sons never meet her.

After all the infernal Christmas Music out there I've been working on a detox list:

"Rock the Casbah" - The Clash
"Where Eagles Dare" - The Misfits
"None but the Brave" - GWAR
    "Crush, Kill, Destroy" - GWAR
"Life is a Lemon and I Want my Money Back" - Meatloaf
"Danger! High Voltage!" - The Electric Six
"Pulling the Plug on the Party" - The Electric Six
    "Heavy Duty" - Judas Priest
"Balrog Boogie" - The Diablo Swing Orchestra

If that doesn't work, I'll break out the Opeth, Cradle of Filth, and Deicide until the holidays are over...

This cracks me up: Jimmie Johnson is the guest DJ tomorrow on Sirius' The Spectrum.

What are the odds he doesn't play "Going the Distance" by Cake?! (My least fave song OF ALL TIME)

Decorated for Christmas today, so lots of Christmas music.   Including a cover of one of my favorites, Chuck Berry's 'Run Rudolph Run' off of 'We Wish you a Metal Xmas...'.   Billy Gibbons on guitar, Dave Grohl on drums, and LEMMY (a la Motorhead) playing bass and singing.   He literally growled it out.   But they did a fantastic job and Gibbons proves he's one of the bestest bestest guitar players EVER....

Earlier I was listening to some Brian Eno.

Then I switched to some Sasha.

After that I put on the record "Overloaded" by some French guy called Lacquer.  I was gifted a copy of the record through the magic of a friend's interwebz skills.

    Here's a video of "Behind".
