We attempted to work on this every day, but she was not agreeable to anything we offered all week. We told her that we needed to make a choice and plan ahead to get the outfit she wanted and we attempted to help her do so. She refused, so I thought she should have to work with things already on hand when she changed her mind less than 12 hours before she needed the costume.
But H & I caved to the parent guilt this time.
Now I just have to hope we haven't set a precedent to repeat this for western day, book character day, spirit day...
I may need to restock the wine.
