Looks like @Athol_Kay just Phase-six'ed the whole forum.  I can't believe just how awesome this place is/was. To find total strangers who'd not only take the time to truly help you, but smack you over the head when you're being a twat, was a revelation to me.

The most sincerest of thanks to each and everyone of you who took the time to comment on my posts and share your views/insights. I will truly never forget it. 

Whilst I've grown fond of almost everyone, my special well wishes go out to @Tennee @nubby @CartB4Horse @LordFlashheart and @Cowboy who were the people who's threads I'd starred when I first arrived here 1-year ago.

I'll set up a special IrishGypsyMAP (at) gmail account for anyone who likes to keep in touch. I agree with @Tennee on that. The applecart *will* be upset. But it'll need to happen at a gradual pace. One.degree.at.a.time.

It will give my wife time to process that the changes are real and permanent.

I have a feeling that, now my wife has been explicitly told I don't want her to either buy me clothes or tell me how I should dress anymore, dressing well to ooze power and status will be a quicker way to convey that brand of attractiveness (and therefore be a greater display of high value).

MAPing is a fucking HUGE energy sink. I totally get how you feel. Ive, finally - and thankfully, put sex at the bottom of my MAP.

My wife once said something very insightful that has stuck with me and is helping to keep me sane right now (see my MAP):

"I need to know you could manage the house and kids if I weren't around anymore" (I.e. dead).

So go do that. Manage you and your kids life as if they depend on it (because, they do).

Go out in the evenings and learn some new skills. Cooking classes, DIY, woodworking, Krav Maga, anything that gives you a positive confidence boost. And just go and do it once the kids are cared for and all essential household chores are done.

You'll know when you're making a difference the day she looks up from her phone and sees this well-dressed, nice smelling, muscular man walking around her house. And then she realises all of a sudden, that the stranger is her husband. Being fucking awesome. And maybe, just maybe, shell enter your orbit for a change.
