    I'm wondering that too.  But if she's paying for her and the kids insurance that could account for a lot.  Plus, she's a new nurse and working in a department that has office hours.  She'd be better off working inpatient and rotating shifts, but perhaps she worries about child care in that instance.

    Your ex-wife is allowed to have her own activities and set healthy boundaries.  She is allowed to go to racquetball without cancelling while her children are in the care of their other set of parents.  It is reasonable of your ex-wife to expect that your fiancee can handle minor instances of normal childhood behaviors. 

    I suggest that you and your new partner take parenting classes so you can learn to deal with normal childhood behaviors without threatening, coercing, or expecting another adult to come to your rescue.  Specifically, look for "Love and Logic" classes.  They're offered just about everywhere.

    Welcome back!  That's a very understandable frustration. 

    How old is your littlest?

    It would help greatly if you would post an updated triage, because answers are always more to the point and helpful if we have some context to work with. The last one I see from you several years old, and we don't know what you've done with yourself between then and now.
